EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

Picture
Wesley Chan | Diocesan Boys' School
As one of the Young Advocates who volunteered in Justice Centre, a NGO that provides legal assistance to asylum-seekers in Hong Kong, Wesley understands how systematic changes must be initiated to improve the living conditions of local refugees. He, along with other Young Advocates, founded the first student organisation in Hong Kong in order to advocate for local human rights issue through youth engagement and public education. From his experiences in mock trial and MUNs, he endeavours to provide a platform for local and international students to develop in-depth understanding of human rights so that they can be advocates of social justice in the future.
David Wong | Diocesan Boys' School
I joined Justice Centre to enhance my knowledge on human rights and refugee laws in HK. This course certainly delivered both knowledge and experience far beyond my expectations.

Kelly Wan | UK
Kelly is one of the directors of JLC, she is currently studying Sixth Form in the UK. She has an interest in studying law or psychology in either the UK or HK. With a passion for giving back to the society, she enjoys various volunteering services.
Alicia So | St Swithun's School

As one of the Executive Directors, Alicia wishes to motivate other teenagers to advocate for human rights after having the privilege of volunteering at the Justice Centre.  She especially wants to raise awareness for refugees. Since she is an international student, she hopes to make a change by starting from her home town before expanding to other countries.  By establishing the Justice Leaders' Council with Wesley, David and Kelly, she hopes to provide an opportunity for local students to gain hands-on experience as well as to learn more about human rights and the legal system in Hong Kong.  She looks forward to meeting and working with all the members in the council and she genuinely hopes that everyone will be able to acquire useful knowledge while having fun at the same time.

Faith Lee | Chinese International School

As the Vice Executive Director for External Affairs, Faith oversees and coordinates communication between Justice Leaders’ Council with school chapters, Justice Centre, partnering organizations and other communities across Hong Kong. As part of her school's Mock Trial Team, Chinese Debate Team and Human Rights Group, Faith is passionate about human rights law and advocacy, and has a wide range of interests including criminal psychology and internet governance. She has extensive experience with leadership roles at her school, such as being a member of the Student Council, the Student Arts Executive, the school magazine’s Editorial Board and one of Kids4Kids’s Service Leaders. Faith’s vision of justice is clear - everyone should be given the freedom to decide how they live without interfering the fundamental rights of others. She firmly believes that all societies will benefit greatly from having justice as a prevailing virtue, and through JLC’s initiatives, she aims to inspire youth engagement in resolving human rights issues.

Faith is also an aspiring filmmaker, an avid photographer and a casual drummer.
